Summary

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will prepare monthly benefit bills, processes human resources reports and administer bonus payroll, in addition to planning and carrying out policies relating to human resource activities by performing the following duties:

Location: Fayetteville, NC

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly bonus payroll for Admin Bonus, Service Technicians and Sales Rep Mileage in Excel spreadsheet-Prepare and send commission worksheets, and upload data into payroll system in order to process the bonus payroll
  • Check regular payroll (i.e. timesheets, deductions, new employees, new contracts) for accuracy and errors before payroll is transmitted
  • Prepare and process weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annual reports
  • Back-up for Payroll Administrator
  • Scan and index payroll and personnel information in Global Search
  • Process background checks on applicants (i.e. credit reports, driving and criminal)
  • Run credit reports for possible tenants and Systel customers for equipment purchases
  • Administer employee benefits (i.e. Medical, Dental, Flexible Spending Accounts, HSA, Short & Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, Accident and Critical Illness.)
  • Process workers comp claims, FMLA request, short and long term disability
  • Open Enrollment for 401k and Annual Employee Benefits
  • Check the math on the Sales Activity Reports and input mileage
  • Administer/Order and keep inventory of employee uniforms orders for service, ACP and Distribution Center
  • Wage verifications (i.e. mortgage loans, DSS, Child Support etc.)
  • Recruiting, job postings (via Internal, Indeed, LinkedIn, Temp Agencies, Social Media, etc.) and assist in the screening and prequalification of candidates to fill vacant positions companywide
  • Create offer letters for potential employment and new hire packages to include employment agreement, exhibit A and “Get to Know” paperwork
  • Schedule DOT Physicals for delivery drivers
  • Effectively communicate company message such as internal memorandums, benefits, announcements, etc.
  • Administer various HR plans and procedures for all employees as well as assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures
  • Act as a resource for employee questions, concerns and issues companywide
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee hiring, terminations, as well as disciplinary actions
  • Maintain system for annual evaluations, send employees upcoming performance evaluations and submit for corporate approval
  • Oversee and maintain updated signed job descriptions for every employee
  • Responsible for separation, unemployment notices, claims and related documentation
  • Responsible for keeping Systel current on all labor practices and employment law compliance
  • Attend or designate a representative to assist or represent Systel at personnel related hearings and investigations if required
  • Oversee Timeclock policies and procedures as well as accuracy of time reporting.
  • Implement improvements in company time reporting (time worked, vacation, sick time, etc.)
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Various assignments and projects as assigned by management

Requirements:

Must have general knowledge of Human Resources, E-Automate, excel, word, good analytical skills and math skills. Must be accurate and be able to set and meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently and complete duties independently.
